In most cases, the dermatologist will discuss as many cosmetic issues the patient wants as possible, discuss and note pros/cons in the chart, as well as discuss prices so there only needs to be 1 inital cosmetic consultation. Another cosmetic consultation will be required if the patient wants to discuss a new issue that was not discussed at the first consultation.

There will be a focus on pharmaceutical AND Integrative education regarding your conditions.

A complete medical history will be obtained, and current symptoms, and treatment options will be discussed.

Previous medical charts will be reviewed and discussed (patient must provide).

Your entire body, skin, hair, scalp and nails will be evaluated. A dermatoscope may be used to evaluate lesions.

It will include 1 biopsy or 1 small procedure (snipping, freezing, or burning) if needed.

All of your skin, hair or nail concerns will be addressed during this visit.

Potential side effects and the benefits of medications in helping the patient reach their dermatological goals as well as discussing a wider range of treatment options with the patient, including lifestyle changes, natural remedies, and complementary therapies to determine underlying causes of the dermatological issue, such as dietary imbalances or stress, and discuss ways to address these root causes will be addressed.

The goal is to develop a treatment plan that aligns with the patient’s goals and supports their overall health and wellbeing.
